My knack for meeting cool people who are just about to leave town is unparalleled.

I've given so many variations of the list of things to do before you leave Boston speech, to people I just met, it's not even funny.

There's 90,000 people living in Somerville. And 100,000 people living in Cambridge. 600,000 people living in Boston. There are almost 3,000,000 people living in metro Boston. And that's just according to the census (I haven't counted them myself).

And people are coming and going all the time. Why do I constantly meet the ones that are going to leave, but not their replacements?

A nice oh, I just came to town and I haven't really met anyone yet, but I'd love to spend some time with you and the Roommate would be nice every now and then.
