Rain rain rain gives me one more day of Sox hope than I'd otherwise get, whatever the outcome (which I'm also hopeful for).

But it also afforded me another opportunity to see the Mittens, and watch them.

They're a great band. Really. It's like they're not a local band anymore.

I have all of their CDs, and I have all of their songs committed to memory.

Which means when I see them live, I can stare at, say, the bassist, or especially the drummer, and LEARN.

So that's what I did.

Pony Up! was also nice. They're from Canada.
